All,
Greg and I headed over to Westmoreland County this morning in hopes of
finding the Buff-breasted Sandpipers that Fred Atwood had on Thursday.
We did not find any of that species unfortunately, but we found a bunch
of other shorebirds in the same field (along Horners Mill Road near
Leedstown) including a Baird's Sandpiper. It was way out in the field
foraging in the dry dirt by itself. The other shorebirds were in a
small wet area on the eastern end of the plowed field.
American Golden-Plover 2
Semipalmated Plover 4
Killdeer ALOT!
Pectoral Sandpiper 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper 5
Least Sandpiper 10
