A nice assortment of birds at the Hunting Creek mudflats this morning (Sat.,
9/6). Highlights:
Great Egret - 2
Great Blue Heron
Semipalmated Plover - 2
Killdeer - 20+
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs ~10
Pectoral Sandpiper - 6
Western Sandpiper - 2 juveniles
Semipalmated Sandpiper ~ 15
Least Sandpiper ~25
Stilt Sandpiper - 1 juvenile
Short-billed Dowitcher
Laughing Gull ~ 50
Ring-billed Gull ~50
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
Caspian Tern - 12
Forster's Tern - 6
