Rather slow at Huntley Meadows this morning--roughly 9-11 am.
3 Great Blue Heron
2 Great Egret
1 Green-backed Heron
3 American Goldfinch
3 Grey Catbird
2 Carolina Wren
2 Common Yellowthroat
1 Brown Thrasher
6 Mallards
2 Belted Kingfisher
6 American Robin
1 Canada Goose
I heard one woodpecker drilling and hardly any birds singing. I did see
one very large snapping turtle waving its front leg in the air. Weird.
