There is a Swan off Apple Valley Road in Winchester (near GE plant on rt 11)
that has been home for this swan since July. The bird appears to be a
Trumpeter Swan. What is the status of this species in VA? I have read that
some are recommending reintroducing them to the East. Has this process
already begun?
