[va-bird] Wilson's Phalarope at ESNWR

I was at the Eastern Shore today, mid-morning, and
visited the ramp pond at ESNWR. It was hoppin'--I
could hear shorebirds squeaking, sqawking, tooting and
trilling long before I got to the viewpoint. All the
species that Ned reported earlier this week were
there, and there was one Wilson's Phalarope, close to
the water's edge and easy to view. All told, shorebird
species included:
   Both yellowlegs
   Stilt sandpipers
   Pectoral Sandpipers
   Spotted sandpiper
   Solitary sandpiper
   Least sandpipers
   Semipalm Sandpipers
   Western sandpipers
   Semipalm Plovers
   Wilson's Phalarope
All in all, great fun. On my return trip home I
stopped at the CBBT islands, and although numbers were
few, I saw Blackburnian warbler on #4, Black-throated
Blue on #3, and Seaside sparrows and Yellowthroats on
all islands.
