[va-bird] Swift decline

I've been counting Chimney Swifts at Woodley Hills Elementary School (Fairfax
County, near Mt. Vernon) for the last couple of weeks and last night was the
first time the numbers have dropped off.
I don't have the exact numbers with me, but here's a rough recap of the last
two counts:
Monday 9/2/02 1400 birds
Wednesday 9/4/02 400 birds
I lost 1000 birds in two days!!!!
It will be interesting to see if the numbers start to climb again or keep going
down. I'll keep you posted.
