[va-bird] BBWD NOT seen at Back Bay NWR, Va. Beach

In response to several requests, I am  informing Va-birders that I have not
spotted any BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING DUCKS at Back Bay NWR since I last
reported them. I did an impoundment survey with Bob Ake on 8/4 and we saw
no BBWD (althoughwe did see  WHITE IBIS, GLOSSY IBIS, and lots of other
wading birds, and a MARBLED GODWIT).

If I see the BBWD, or if they are reported to me by a visitor, I will be
sure to pass along the sighting to Va-birders, as I know this is a species
many people would love to see in Virginia.
