[va-bird] Common Nighthawk, Fairfax Co., Aug. 17

Hello, birders.
Heard a COMMON NIGHTHAWK over our neighborhood in the
Fair Oaks area of Fairfax Co. tonight. I heard the
familiar PEEERT call as soon as I stepped outside,
around 8:30pm. Couldn't find the bird in the
darkening sky but it called a few more times over the
next 2 minutes. Several minutes later I heard it
(another?) again as I sat reading on the front steps.
I stayed outside for another half hour but no more
calling from the bird. First of the fall for me.
