[va-bird] White (Albino?) Goldfinch

Hi all... On Saturday I had a goldfinch at my feeders that was white in all
the places that would normally be bright yellow -- only slight traces of
pale yellow could be seen. The wings, tail, and forehead were still as dark
black as normal. I have a pic I can send anyone who wants a look (request
off-list, please), but I took it hurriedly through a window... so not the
best quality.

Is this a form of albinism, or more likely a simple genetic abnormality
affecting the color of the plumage?

Thanks,

Matthew Bender
