[va-bird] Craney Island (Portsmouth, VA) 8/13/03

I went to Craney Island with my parents between 2pm and 3:30pm today.
Shorebird numbers and water levels were down. A big flock of Royal and
Caspian Terns were in the middle impoundment. I did not see any
Black-bellied Plovers, A. Avocets, or Black-n. Stilts today, but somone saw
Avocets a few days ago. Yellowlegs, peep, Semipalmated Plovers, Dowitchers,
and a few Willets were the shorebirds seen. A heat haze prevented us from
identifying more birds.
