was canoing the Upper Iowa River 10 days ago, only a couple miles south 
of the Minnesota line, saw two Bald Eagles of the year, one nest, & one 
adult.  Plains Indians in early 1800s knew the Bald Eagle, but preferred 
the Golden [for same reasons Ben Franklin disfavored the Bald Eagle??]  jck
