[va-bird] Re: emailing the manager

Well, you have some points, I guess. However, I don't see how a "thank you"
note, or a slew of thank you notes, can do any harm.
I didn't know the details of the Cate familial relations to the bird, nor
didI know the Cates are on vacation.
The Marriott Ranch is a business, and went out of the way to accomodate an
event that is at best be a disruption. When I was there Friday, a little
before noon, there were at least six birders' vehicles in the lot (off to
oneside), plus a dozen birders and several scopes. I still think a note is
appropriate.
I followed the normal procedure in addressing senior officials, presuming
they will pass the word down the line, and also know that some people who
work for them did a good job. This e-mail went to the business mailbox,
which I obtained from the Marriott website. Can't be that much of a secret.
Regards,
Kurt Henschen, Alexandria
