To answer Rick's question:

Records cited by Roger Clapp's "Egg Dates for Virginia Birds" show Raven 
eggs as early as 26 February (1986 record - Nelson County) and as late as 24 
Apr on Beartown Mountain.  Most other egg records were in March.
