Hello all
After work this afternoon I checked out a few places to see what the recent
storms dropped in . On Bells lane a couple of shorebirds were still around .
Least sandpiper -- 3 & one Short - Billed Dowitcher . On Smith's in the Swoope
area there were about 20 Killdeer & 2 Solitary Sandpiper . Also an Adult Black
-crowned Night Heron with one Imm. B C Night Heron . At McCune's I watched
three Cedar Waxwings flycatching . What was so odd about it was that in one
corner of the pond the algae was so thick that these birds were landing on it &
taking off from it to catch the bugs . Any way it was nice to get out for an
hour of birding .
