[va-bird] Craney Island (Portsmouth)

I have managed to get out to Craney Island a few times during the week in
the mornings. There was a BLACK SKIMMER resting on the west beach. The
number of sandpipers is increasing. I saw PECTORAL, STILT, WESTERN, LEAST,
and SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS. LEAST and GULL-BILLED TERNS are in the area.
BLACK-NECKED STILTS and AMERICAN AVOCETS were present at the northwest
corner of the middle cell (impoundment). Both species of YELLOWLEGS were
also seen, as well as a few SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS.
I am hoping to continue to check Craney during the week, but if anyone has
access during the weekend and wouldn't mind another person, I would be
interested.
