[va-bird] Occoquan Bay NWR, Prince William Co.; July 8

Hello, birders.

I visited Occoquan yesterday to go butterflying. 
While there I saw some unexpected birds.  There were
13 SCAUP SP. out in Belmont Bay, at least one of which
was a LESSER.  The others were too far away to
positively ID.  Maybe this is part of the same
lingering flock of scaup that Jodi B. and I saw back
in late May?  In the same area, with repeated
scanning, I found a lone AMERICAN COOT.  It was
hanging out on one of the little islands in Belmont
Bay.

Other neat birds incl. NO. BOBWHITE, KING RAIL and
many OSPREY.
