A White Pelican has been observed at Craney Island roosting on and near
breakwater #3 on the west side since Monday July3,2006. The white peclican
was first observed by Keith Lockwood and Rob Prus. The bird was still there
today. ,CAUTION! Craney Island is very muddy with the recent heavy rains and
the area may be closed to birders on days after heavy rains due to erosin and
washed out roads. Call before you travel to site.
