Birders,
Turning onto the wildlife drive there was a recently fledged bluebird siting in
the middle of the road acting like it was blending in. I walked up to it and
it still didn't move. Picked it up thinking the middle of the road was not a
good place for a flightless fledging bluebird. The parents appeared and seemed
nervous. I decided to put him/her back in the box he came out of. One more
day in the box would probablly be just the thing needed, and if not well it got
out once...
I flushed an AMERICAN WOODCOCK checking a prothonotary warbler box near
deephole point around 830.
I missed seeing the king rails but heard them.
2 of the 8 warbler boxes were active with 4 eggs in each
Here a list of other birds I remember seeing/hearing from this morning
Canada Geese
Ospreys
Bald Eagles
Great' Herons
Redwinged blackbirds
Bobwhite
Yellowbilled cuckcoo
Roughwinged swallow
Yellowbreasted chat
Kingbirds
Acadian flycatchers
chickadees
Brown Thrasher

Orchard Oriole
Field Sparrow
Goldfinches
