A brief visit to Phelps on Monday morning turned out to be a lot of fun. I
flushed a hen Wild Turkey with 3 very cute fluffy chicks. White-eyed Vireo
and Chats were all over the place, vocalizing and easily seen. I also found
a Summer Tanager, a Yellow-throated Vireo, Black and White Warbler, and I
thought I heard a Chestnut-sided Warbler. Since this is not where I would
expect them at all, I am not at all sure of this ID, but it sure sounded
like one!
