VA Birders,
This morning, I went to Fort C. F. Smith Park, Arlington, to check our
Bird Stream after yesterday's storms, and to do a little birding there.
Highlights were a VEERY, which I had also seen on June 30, and a WOOD THRUSH,
which I
heard singing for most of the 2 hours I was there today. I also heard it
singing on June 29. Altho we have had Wood Thrushes in the park most summers,
I
think this is the first time we have had a Veery stay there for the summer.
Good birding,
Val Kitchens
