[va-bird] Birds on the Move?

VA Birders,

Around 7:30 pm yesterday evening, I had about a dozen Purple Martins
flying over our house in the northern part of Arlington Co., and I also saw a
pair
of Eastern Kingbirds apparently flycatching from the top of a large tree
nearby. Neither species nests in our neighborhood. The Eastern Kingbirds were
the first I had seen from my yard this year, and only recently have I begun to
see the martins overhead. I suspect the martins could be heading south now,
and the kingbirds are the result of post-breeding dispersal.
