In addition single White-throated Sparrow sightings on June 29 have been
reported on MDOsprey in Howard and Queen Anne Counties in Md, and a Pine Siskin
was reported at an Ann Arundel County feeder from at least June 22 through 28.
Are these out-of-season appearances perhaps related to our very early spring
this year? It appears that nestlings have fledged early and perennials are
blooming quite ahead of schedule. And today, I noted Tussock Moth larvae
eating the leaves of my volunteer milkweed, at least two weeks ahead of last
year.
