[va-bird] Humming Bird

Dear Birders,
I have a friend here in Lynchburg that has a hummer coming to the feeder with
a very wounded tongue. The tongue seems to protrude beyond the mouth and hang
out all the time. It is a female and she seems to have survived so far. Any
information concerning this problem would be helpful.
