As I mentioned in my 7/1 post on the subject of the White Ibis, my husband
picked up loads of deer and dog ticks while we were hiking about
Manassas. I just pulled yet another deer tick off him this morning, a very
engorged and bizarre-looking one at that! The thing I find interesting is,
he was wearing long pants and I was wearing shorts. Perhaps the ticks
could grab onto his pants easier than they could grab onto my legs? So
far, I haven't found a tick on me. OTOH, my husband is pretty sweet, so
maybe they think he tastes better? ;-)
