I spent a pleasant morning at Occoquan Bay NWR- My first bird right out of the
car was a singing, perched NORTHERN BOBWHITE. I heard at least 4 more

Acadian flycatcher-1
willow flycatcher-1,my first of season
great crested flycatcher-2
eastern kingbird-4
blue gray gnatcatcher-10
eastern bluebird-2
gray catbird-5
brown thrasher-6
yellow warbler-at least 15
prothonatary warbler-10,including young
common yellowthroat-10
yellow breasted chat-8
blue grosbeak-2,a pair
indigo bunting-5
eastern towhee-2
field sparrow-6
orchard oriole-4

And the usual suspects.
