This past weekend I traveled to Bath and Highland Counties on Saturday and
Augusta County on Sunday.
A trip to Paddy's Knob on Saturday morning yielded overcast skies, chilly
temps (49-58 degrees), gusty winds and very little birds. They were around
but hunkered down out of the chilly winds. By late morning patches of
sunlight began breaking through the clouds and a Mourning Warbler began to
sing only the first part of its song.
Wild flowers were in bloom providing a photographic opportunity.
