I'll begin by apologizing for the late posting.

Last Saturday, May 27, I observed a single RED-THROATED LOON in adult breeding
plumage on Kerr Lake. It was observed for half an hour from the tip of a
southeast-facing point at Camp Eagle Point, a primitive Boy Scout camp off of
Taylor's Ferry Road south of Boydton, VA. The bird was in open water between
Eagle Point and the Ivy Hill boat ramp, approximate coordinates 36.585 N 78.408
W.
