[va-bird] The end of migration: late White-throated Sparrow

So, I?ve come up with a new metric to judge the end of spring migration:
blackpolls by bike. The end of last week, when migration seemed to have
just about ended at White Oaks Park, I still heard about 20 blackpolls each
morning on my bike ride to work. On Tuesday I had 9, and on Wednesday none.
So I decided that migration was over. Just to prove me wrong, yesterday
(June 2) a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was sipping at my bird bath. Nonetheless,
I like my new metric.
See you in the fall.
