Couldn't agree more Bart.  Hopefully we won't be "subject" to any more  
unecessarily mean-spirited comments from the socially-challenged out there; 
they certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.  I don't think I'm going out on 
much of a limb in stating that most of the rest of us don't have such an 
aversion to being amused.

We've got new list member who's obviously enthused and psyched to be here. 
Is the goal to drive him off the list?

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think we could use a little more levity 
everywhere in life, including this list. Or do we want to perpetuate the 
stereotype of birders being boring old fuddy-duddies, who look down their noses 
at 
people who don't meet their lofty academic standards?

And let's not forget our old friend the delete key. It works wonders for 
posts you don't like. (like this one, no doubt).

Feel free to flame me about this. I can take it. I've been the subject of 
some brutal flames before - the kind that will make your hair curl, or 
straighten it out! I look forward to hearing from those of you who think I'm 
nuts!
