NoVa Birders--
I am posting this as a courtesy to a ME researcher who is interested in
connecting with NoVa birders about the recent sightings of Mississippi
Kites. If you can help, please contact Donna directly at the email address
she provides below.

Hello. My name is Donna Bogardus and I live in Maine. I will be making a
trip to Fairfax Co. in late June/early July and am interested in contacting
someone regarding the nesting and presence of Mississippi Kites in your
area. There were Kites nesting in Woodbridge at one time, possibly nesting
in Great Falls and in recent years sitings at Huntley Meadows. What I would
like is to learn the locations of any nest sights, past or present, as well
as recent season sitings in N. Va. Would you be aware of anyone I can
contact regarding such information? Dr. James Parker, also from Maine, is
an authority on MSKI and may possibly be traveling through Va. and thus
could do some follow up info gathering. It would be a treat to know of and
check out the presence of Kites in the Northern Va. area. Thank you for any
help you can give! My email address is bogardus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .I look
forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Donna
