Hi all,
For those of you who happen to go birding in Highland County, VA, you
might want to take Rt. 250 across the mountain and into West Virginia to
see and hear an Alder Flycatcher. It is on territory at the foot of the
mountain along the Little River. Coming down from VA, you will see a red
gate on the left side of the road and a house, outbuildings, and vehicles
on the right side of the road. Stop at the red gate and then look at the
highest, bare branches sticking up on a tree over towards the river. You
will probably hear the flycatcher before you see it.

This area is located maybe a mile or two prior to the turn onto Rt. 28
that takes you over to Locust Springs.

Good birding,

Larry
