There is a public meeting on the "adaptive reuse" of the existing developed 
areas at the site on 6/11.  Charlie Creighton encourages environmentalists to 
go to support the idea of making space available for Fairfax Audubon Society 
and other environmental groups.  Details about the meeting can be found on

I will once again remind everyone to post on the discussion forum if you ever 
want a chance to bird the grasslands and meadows there.  Thanks to the

Atwood, P.R. Mocko, Jim Mathews, Janet Martin, "livesbyprison," Phil Kenny, 
Greg 
Dana, Fran Lindsey, and Scott Baron.  However, a number my birding friends seem 
to think someone will participate for them.  Or course, I wouldn't name any 
names.  You know who you are, Art-bay and Urt-kay.
