I saw an adult Peregrine Falcon around the Wilson Bridge a couple of =
times before 9 am on Sunday, June 8; twice it landed on one of the =
construction cranes. Six Ospreys were in the air at once as well. =20
Later in the morning on the north side of the city I heard at least two =
singing Willow Flycatchers in a "restored" wetlands area along the bike =
trail that runs between US 1 and Mount Vernon Avenue. The area is part =
of a Maryland / DC Breeding Bird Atlas block I was surveying; safe dates =
for the species begin on June 10, so I will be back next weekend. Also =
there I saw N. Rough-wing Swallows. =20
