Greetings to all:
After not seeing any Mississippi Kites in Halifax Co. for nearly three years;
late this afternoon at 4:55 PM a lone adult Kite was seen flying over the same
area were they were first seen nearly five years ago to the day on 06/02/98
from Runt Powell's farm.
I observed one for about 5 minutes and then saw one flying around from 5:15 PM
to 5: 25 PM. Although I looked for them every year since 1998 none was seen
during the summers of 2001 and 2002.
