[va-bird] no black rail on Thursday night

I went down to Huntley yesterday evening with Jason
Waanders to look (listen) for the black rail. Traffic
was horrendous and we didn't get out there until a
little after 8. We headed to the rail spot but didn't
hear anything and a few other birders there had not
heard anything either.

Jason had gone on Tuesday night and heard the rail
then. He commented that the water levels were higher
yesterday evening than they had been on Tuesday. Such
a small bird is probably quite sensitive to a change
in water levels so I would speculate that it has moved
on or is at a different location in the marsh where
the water levels are lower. Hopefully its still
around and will return to the boardwalk location if
water levels drop over the weekend.
