[va-bird] Caspian Terns on Potomac

On Tuesday June 4th I saw 4 Caspian Terns flying up the Potomac at about 5pm.
They were about half way between Mt. Vernon and Dyke Marsh. This seemed
kind of late (or early!) to see them to me.

I checked Kurt's NoVA Birding page* and he has a late date of May 9th for the
spring and an early date for the "fall" of June 27th.

Anyone have any idea what they're doing here at the "wrong" time? Late
migrants? Early returns from nesting? Local breeders? (Ha!), or maybe
non-breeders?
