[va-bird] Shenandoah 6/1/02

To add to Kurt's report from Shenandoah, we were there yesterday also,
birding from Front Royal down to Skyland. We had many more Raven's through
the north section, at least 30 down to RT 211. We also had the Broadwing in
the same general area.
Our best bird sightings were a Ruffed Grouse family, and the male displayed
and puffed up the ruff to lead my son-in-law away from the family while
attempted to photograph them.
Also, we had an Osprey soaring over Dickey Ridge visitor center, an
interesting bird for the top of a mountain.
And we all saw our first VA Black Bear running across the road and he
coveniently sat in the woods long enough for a picture.
