Hello all,
Even though it was cold and windy this morning, we had some good birds while 
participating in the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia Birdathon.

At Huntley Meadows the highlights included:

BLUE WINGED TEAL (a pair)
SPOTTED SANDPIPER
SOLITARY SANDPIPER
SCARLET TANAGER
Female HOODED MERGANSER with seven ducklings swimming west across the pond from 
the shoreline by the observation tower  
RUBY THROATED HUMMINGBIRD
WHITE EYED VIREO
GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER
BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER
COMMON YELLOWTHROAT
INDIGO BUNTING

Monticello Park (lower than expected bird activity but lots of people looking 
for them):

VEERY (in a yard across the street from the park)
BLUE WINGED WARBLER
CHESTNUT SIDED WARBLER
BLACK THROATED BLUE (F)
YELLOW RUMPED  
BLACK AND WHITE

Our backyard later in the day:

ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAK (M)
