Good days and good birds continued on Wednesday and Friday; but on Saturday,
of all days, a front blew the birds out and rained on the big Girl Scout /
Rachel Carson Birthday event in the afternoon. The birds definitely were
not in again for Sunday. A Great-horned Owl sighting is not unusual before
dawn, but on Wednesday s/he had a rabbit and was struggling to fly away when
caught in the headlights. The Owl took off without the headless rabbit, but
bunny was not there when we drove out 7 hours later. Also, Wild Turkey is a
usual sighting, but on Sunday one almost walked right into net 7.
