Hello everyone,
I went to the Amherst Lakes this morning 5-5-07.
Mill Creek Lake :
Common Loon-4 breeding plumage,1 alternate plumage
Horned Grebe- 1 full breeding plumage,1 alternate plumage
Went to Mill Creek Lake 5-6-07
Horned Grebes were still there. This was the 1st time I've seen Horned Grebe
in full
breeding plumage. He has beautiful plumage with the golden horns and chestnut
neck color.
I watched them for 1 hour. They were diving constantly. The Loons were gone.
