FreeLists / va-bird / [va-bird] Great morning send off

As I was heading out on the door on this overcast morning I took one
last look at our picture window which frames our woods and much to my
joy this morning...it also framed a perfect look at a Black Throated
Blue warbler, sitting on a bare branch posing for all he was worth.

He had been singing back in the woods yesterday a.m. but today, luckily
for me, he had come in closer to the house to glean insects off the
Beech Nut Tree.

An amazing send off and really topped off the morning that had already
included the transporting song of our local Wood Thrush, which has
returned for another season.

PS: for my bird banding buddies - I think he was a ASY Male based on how
clear his colors were and the size of the white patch on his wing. Next
time I'll have to see if I can intice him into my hand ;-)
