[va-bird] M'ssippi Kite at Huntley Meadows yesterday

Dear All
Just a quick and slightly belated note to report the high spot of a visit to
Huntley Meadows yesterday, Saturday, morning was a fabulous Mississippi Kite
which flew in and hawked insects over the main wetland area viewable from the
boardwalk
Other birds of note:
Many singing Yellowthroats; Yellow Warbler; Savannah Sparrow; 25 Rusty
Blackbirds; Cooper's, Red-shouldered & Red-tailed Hawks; 9 Solitary Sandpipers;
5 Semi-palmated Plovers; 3 Grtr Yellowlegs; 10 Lesser Yellowlegs; 3 Least
Sandpipers; 2 Killdeer; 10 Barn, 50 Tree, 3 Rough-winged & 1 Bank Swallows and
2 Purple Martins.
A very pleasant morning.
