Got a late start at Chester F. Phelps WMA in southern Fauquier County  today, 
arriving at seven-forty-five AM.  My father and I birded the area  accessed 
by the Curtis Parking Area, which leads to the Sighting-In Range and  
eventually to the wetlands cell along the river, spending about three hours in  
the 
area.  Found a few birds today that were not seen on my last visit, 26  Apr.  
Included in that lot are Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Worm-eating Warbler,  Summer 
Tanager, Scarlet Tanager, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
 
After Phelps, I stopped along Savannah Branch Road near Remington and added  
four Kestrels, another Summer Tanager, and a couple of Yellow-throated  
Vireos.  There might have been a Blue Grosbeak there as well, but couldn't  
nail it 
down.
