CELEBRATING SPECIAL PLACES: BIRDING LOUDOUN COUNTY on IMBD, MAY 14
To celebrate and highlight International Migratory Bird Day, the Loudoun
Wildlife Conservancy, in partnership with several other groups, sponsors
several bird walks and an all-day bird survey throughout the county. The walks
start at 8:00 a.m. and will take place at Horsepen Preserve (along the Potomac
River) in eastern Loudoun County, Morven Park (immediately north of Leesburg),
the ANS Rust Nature Sanctuary (immediately west of Leesburg), the Banshee Reeks
Nature Preserve (in central Loudoun County), and the Blue Ridge Center for
Environmental Stewardship in northwestern Loudoun County. We hope to cover the
entire county for the survey and still need people to help with that. If you
are interested in one of the walks please contact me to find out where people
are meeting; if you want to help with the survey for a portion or the entire
day please contact me at 540-554-2542 or jandkcoleman@xxxxxxxxx by May 11.
Thanks & Great Birding!
Joe Coleman
