Just noting the reports documenting the surge of migrants hitting Virginia
including a slug of Northern Waterthrushes and thought folks might be
interested to see more about where many of these species are headed--the
boreal forest of Canada and Alaska.

We have a new online guide to birds of the boreal that includes info like
the fact that 72% of all Northern Waterthrushes breed in the boreal forest
region of Canada and Alaska!

The guide is available at: http://www.borealbirds.org/birds.html
