[va-bird] Chimney Swifts

Greetings,
Having changed email addresses and remained indoors for far too
long, I am returning to report a preponderance of chimney swifts
around home and work.
Pan Am Shopping Center on Nutley at Lee Highway in Fairfax is
pretty close to the Craven's Nursery location where swifts were
located in years past, and possibly some new chimneys have been
identified but they were a pleasant sound to behold on Sunday at 1pm.
I have not been to the Jackson Middle School yet this season but
downtown during a lunch break, and happy to have this episode of
outdoor time, I was ecstatic to find several more chimney swifts above
the Renwick Gallery, over 17th and Pennsylvania Northwest, just across
from the White House area. There have always been old chimneys in the
neighborhood but I never heard 'em singing til today!!
Is this a bumper year for Chimney Swifts?
