[va-bird] White-winged Dove - 200th Yard Bird

Just one day after reaching 199 with a Painted Bunting (which was present for
about 15 minutes yesterday and hasn't been seen since) the 200 species
milestone for my yard list was reached when a WHITE-WINGED DOVE flew by. A new
state bird for me as well. It sure pays to check out everything that goes by.
I almost didn't bother to raise my binoculars when I saw it at a distance,
figuring it was just another Mourning Dove or Rock Pigeon. Glad I didn't ignore
it. It's truly amazing what you can see if you spend enough time looking -- in
this case, about 16 years to reach 200 species. Not sure what I'll do to
celebrate. Maybe I'll finally go buy myself a nice new camera.
Time to go outside and look around some more. No. 201 could be flying by as I
write!
