All,
This weekend (5/3 & 4) in and around Chincoteague NWR and Assateague NS: 3
piping plover, 2 black-necked stilts, several tri-colored heron, 4 little
blue heron, loads of whimbrels, willets, s.b. dowitchers, black bellied
plovers, sanderlings, least sandpipers, oystercatchers, lesser yellowlegs
and glossy ibis (at least 100). With the gale of wind and cool temps we didn
?t see many passerines, but among those were orchard oriole, indigo bunting
and at least a dozen brown-headed nuthatches.
