[va-bird] Upland Sandpipers at Spring Creek, Rockingham County, 5/1/03

Today about midday I observed the following at the pond along Nazarene Church
Road west of Spring Creek in southwestern Rockingham County:
Mallard 3
Blue-winged Teal pair
Killdeer 1
Greater Yellowlegs 4
Lesser Yellowlegs 7
Solitary Sandpiper 2
UPLAND SANDPIPER 3
Wilson's Snipe 2
The Upland Sandpipers were in the taller grass just beyond the far side of
the pond from the road and gave few views as they slowly moved around.
However, they were not far from the pond's edge.
