VA Birders,
I was up just after daylight this morning looking for the Blackpoll that Ed
and Michelle Talbott found in our yard yesterday, while my wife and I were
gone.
Ed and Michelle had come looking for the Least Flycatcher that I had been
hearing.
I wasn't outside long this morning before I heard the Blackpoll singing. It
took me a couple of minutes to locate it. I soon found it in one of the
cherry trees. It fed around the yard all morning, during which time it flew
into one of the maple trees where I took this photo.

It is still hanging around as of 10:00 AM.
Enjoy the birds,
Roger Mayhorn
